Unfortunate day for Steven Kruijswijk in Tour de France

Steven Kruijswijk fell during the fifteenth stage of the Tour de France and had to give up. The climber of Jumbo-Visma fell at over 60 kilometers from the finish in Carcassonne and immediately grabbed his shoulder and arm.

In doing so, Kruijswijk shook his head in the direction of teammate Wout van Aert. The green jersey carrier also stood at the crash, as did Martijn Tusveld of Team DSM and Israel-Premier Tech rider Jakob Fuglsang. Kruijswijk immediately grabbed his shoulder and sent Van Aert, who wanted to wait, away.

According to the Tour de France’s race doctor, Kruijswijk may have a collarbone fracture, or a fracture of the bone between the shoulder and collarbone.
